Job Summary

The Opportunity

This position is accountable with the product implementation tasks for Manulife Insurance. This includes running the Product Implementation Meeting assume the role of Product Owner coordination with stakeholders on user requirements monitor product development schedule and deployment which involves new product onboarding product campaigns regression testing day-2 matters etc. This role is also responsible to lead our digital ambition which includes digital products and support.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Study and assess product design and work with stakeholders from respective departments to assess and scope the potential requirements/changes/enhancements identify potential gaps and propose solutions needed for product launch.

  • Planning and executing end-to-end product implementation process and timeline monitor progress and risk to ensure all the stakeholders and product managers requirements are met.

  • Secure and coordinate UAT resource and timeline and ensuring efficiency by optimizing time & scope for multiple ongoing product initiatives/UAT within a given period.

  • Monitor product development resources timeline and scope to ensure the delivery of key projects.

  • Coordinate and conduct Product Implementation Team (PIT) meeting Post Product Implementation Launch Review and internal briefing.

  • Establish transparency and communication to stakeholders on projects updates.

  • Prepare/conduct product setups: plan codes plan group codes etc.

  • Conduct compatibility & functionality tests pre-production and post-production test and verification on relevant systems.

  • Management of product Day-2 items that must be delivered by deadline

  • Serves as the Product Owner lead which involves managing product backlog and prioritizing user stories.

  • Monitor overall Product and Project Calendar resource timeline and scope and mitigate any risks in overall delivery

  • To maintain absolute confidentiality and interact professionally with all level of internal and external stakeholders.


Required Qualifications:

  • University degree in any field

  • Above 5 years experience in the life insurance industry and/or project management

  • Passionate in project management and take pride in delivery

  • Experience in working in an Agile environment is an added advantage

  • Strong communication skills and able to communicate in a clear manner to stakeholders
