IT CISCO Network Engineer (Contract) – Client Engagement

Location: Kuala Lumpur Malaysia (base office)Employment Type: Contract (6 months)Experience Required: 4 years network implementation experience



Role Overview

We are seekingfor a skilled and motivatedITCISCO Network Engineerwhom will be primarily responsible for the design and implementation of network infrastructure with a strong focus on CISCO and Meraki technologies.

The ideal candidate is a proactive self starter who can take ownership of network projects work independently and ensure the reliability and security of the networking environments.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

Implementation & Deployment: Lead the installation configuration and deployment of CISCO Meraki switches firewalls and wireless access points across various office locations with minimal supervision and ensuring projects are delivered on time.

Network Management: Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability using the Meraki Dashboard and other network monitoring tools.

Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve complex network issues outages and performance degradation. Provide escalated support for network related incidents.

Configuration Management: Maintain accurate network documentation architecture diagrams and configuration backups.

Security & Compliance: Ensure network hardware is patched up to date and configured according to industrys best practices and internal security policies.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience: 4 years of relevant hands on work experienceinconfiguring maintaining and troubleshooting CISCO switches and routing hardware.

Meraki Expertise: Proven track record of successful implementations with Meraki switches including physical installation cloud provisioning and dashboardconfiguration.

Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP BGP OSPF VLANs STP VPN IPsec) and OSI layers.

Work Ethic: Highly driven self starter capable of managing time effectively prioritizing tasks and working entirely independently when necessary.

Certifications (Preferred): CCNA CCNP or CMNA (Cisco Meraki Network Associate).

Problem Solving Skills: Excellent analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex network anomalies under pressure.




Travel & Work Style

Base office in Kuala Lumpur with remote collaboration with stakeholders located at other client sites/offices.

Flexibility for after hours or weekend cutovers testing and critical activities during implementation and migration windows.

Hands on delivery oriented working style with strong documentation and stakeholder communication.
