Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced hands-on HR Manager to oversee and elevate our human resources this role you will be the backbone of our local people operations taking full ownership of end-to-end payroll administration robust HR operations and talent acquisition.
The ideal candidate balances strict compliance and operational efficiency with an approachable employee-centric mindset. You will ensure our team is supported paid accurately on time and that we continue to attract top talent to fuel our growth in the Malaysian market.
- Full ownership of monthly end-to-end payroll processing for all local employees ensuring absolute accuracy and punctuality.
- Manage and ensure timely statutory submissions and compliance with EPF SOCSO EIS and PCB (MTD).
- Act as the primary point of contact for all payroll-related audits tax reporting and employee queries.
- Keep abreast of local labor laws and tax regulations updating payroll practices accordingly.
- Standardize manage and optimize all HR operational workflows including onboarding offboarding contract renewals and probation reviews.
- Maintain accurate up-to-date employee data within the HRIS and physical personnel files.
- Oversee employee benefits administration medical insurance leaves and time-attendance tracking.
- Interpret and advise management and staff on company policies and the Malaysia Employment Act.
- Handle employee relations matters smoothly providing fair and compliant guidance on grievances or disciplinary issues.
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process from sourcing and screening to interviewing and offer negotiation.
- Partner with department heads to understand their hiring needs draft accurate job specs and build active talent pipelines.
- Optimize recruitment channels (job boards professional networks agencies) to improve time-to-hire and cost-per-hire metrics.
- Drive a positive candidate experience that reflects well on our employer brand.
- Experience: Minimum of 58 years of progressive HR experience with at least 23 years in a managerial or assistant managerial capacity.
- Core Expertise: Demonstrated hands-on experience running payroll in Malaysia and managing the full recruitment cycle.
- Education: Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Management Business Administration or a related field.
- Knowledge: Deep practical understanding of the Malaysia Employment Act 1955 prevailing labor laws and statutory regulations.
- Tools: Proficiency with localized Payroll/HRIS software and standard Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Skills: Strong numerical acumen meticulous attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Languages: Business fluency in English Bahasa Malaysia & Mandarin (both written and spoken) is required.
