Global Business Services (GBS) is an in-house service provider specializing in HR Finance and Technology for Wilhelmsen - providing high quality scalable reliable solutions that drive efficiency enhance customer experience andcost-efficient business support services

The position

We are looking for a Finance Team Lead - P2P Payments who will join our Global Business Services division.

Who you will report to

The position will report directly to the Finance Manager - P2P Payments

What you will be doing

  • Lead daily P2P payment operations and ensure SLA achievement.
  • Review and approve payment batches in line with company controls.
  • Monitor payment exceptions rejected payments and urgent payment requests.
  • Perform/oversee payment and bank reconciliation activities.
  • Ensure compliance with finance policies internal controls and segregation of duties.
  • Lead coach and manage team performance and workload.
  • Work closely with AP Treasury Procurement banks and internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare payment performance reports and monitor key KPIs.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement automation and efficiency.
  • Support internal/external audits and resolve control issues.

Required experience and skills

  • 8-10 years experience in finance processing in a high volume environment preferably with a concentration in leading transactional accounting teams within an SSC/BPO environment
  • At least 3 years of management experience preferably in managing team leads
  • Master or Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent accounting certification is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience and general knowledge of accounting principles
  • Extensive experience in managing transactional activities (i.e. AP AR Cash etc.)
  • Previous experience in migration of processes and/or system implementation preferred
  • Experience of using enterprise systems preferred (e.g. IFS SAP Oracle)
  • Excellent command of English both written and spoken is required. Mandarin proficiency will be considered an added advantage. Candidates with additional Asian or Arabic language capabilities are encouraged to apply.

Location

The position will be based in Kuala Lumpur office located at KL Sentral which is a strategic work location with convenience travelling by Monorail Rapid Kelana Jaya Line MRT and KTM services as well as easy to get to go by public transportation.
