Finance Manager Assistant Manager (Manufacturing)
Job Summary
Our client is an established publicly listed organization on the main market and stands as one of the worlds leading integrated producers of industrial metals and tin-based products. With a rich heritage spanning over a century the group handles both upstream mining and downstream smelting operations with a robust global distribution network. They are currently looking for a dynamic financial professional to support their growing operations at their facility based in Pulau Indah Klang.
We are seeking a highly analytical and proactive Finance Manager / Assistant Manager to oversee the companys operational finance functions. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller and indirectly to the Co-Group Chief Executive Officer the successful candidate will manage full-set accounting budgeting corporate taxation statutory audits and internal controls. This role is ideal for a dedicated team leader who thrives with minimum supervision and is keen to drive continuous improvement within a global manufacturing ecosystem.
Financial Management: Oversee the complete full-set of accounts (including AP AR GL and Inventory) to ensure accurate comprehensive and timely preparation of monthly management reports.
Costing Analysis: Conduct strategic cost analysessuch as cost-volume-profit relationships standard costing variance analysis transfer pricing and activity-based costingto deliver actionable business insights.
Audit & Internal Controls: Act as the primary liaison for internal and external auditors ensuring robust statutory compliance and driving overall optimizations for internal controls and accounting workflows.
Taxation Compliance: Manage all corporate tax and SST matters ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of tax estimates and the filing of required tax returns.
Budgeting & Strategic Planning: Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets forecasts and strategic plans by partnering with various business units to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational initiatives.
Ad-hoc Duties: Execute any other financial projects and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Education: Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance; holding professional qualifications (such as ACCA CPA or CIMA) is highly advantageous.
Experience: Minimum of 6 years of relevant working experience. Prior experience in financial audit from a Big 4 or mid-tier audit firm will be an added advantage.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in financial and tax planning computer literacy and accounting systems; experience working with ERP software is preferred.
Soft Skills: Outstanding leadership organizational negotiation reporting and interpersonal communication skills.
Key Attributes: Self-motivated confident and highly analytical with a strict attention to detail and high standard of professional integrity.
Location: Must be willing to be based full-time at the facility in Pulau Indah.
