Job Summary
The Finance Director will be a key member of the leadership team responsible for overseeing all financial operations strategy and planning. This role requires a visionary leader to drive financial performance manage risk and ensure the companys financial health and compliance. The Finance Director will provide strategic financial guidance to support business objectives and long-term growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial strategies policies and procedures to support the companys overall business objectives.
- Oversee all financial operations including accounting budgeting forecasting treasury and tax functions.
- Lead the annual budgeting and planning process ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational realities.
- Provide timely and accurate financial reporting analysis and insights to the executive team and board of directors.
- Manage cash flow working capital and investment portfolios to optimize financial resources.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls
- Lead and develop the finance team fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Liaise with external auditors banks and other financial institutions.
- Evaluate and advise on the financial impact of new projects investments and business initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or a related field; a Masters degree or professional qualification (e.g. ACCA CPA CIMA) is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in finance with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (e.g. Finance Director Head of Finance).
- Proven track record of strategic financial planning risk management and driving financial performance in a dynamic environment.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations accounting standards (e.g. IFRS GAAP) and tax laws.
- Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in financial software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically solve complex problems and make sound financial decisions.
