Facilities Management Technician (Data Centre Johor)Job Description Summary
The Facilities Management Technician oversees day-to-day data centre facility operations coordinating maintenance change management and incident response to ensure compliant resilient infrastructure performance.This role shall be responsible for overseeing DCP activities particularly those affecting the data halls conducting facility inspections supporting maintenance and change events. The team evaluates and tracks change requests by risk level consolidates maintenance schedules and provides rapid response and escalation for critical facility incidents including alarm verification and EOP activation.

About the Role:
- Support facility operations across data centers by overseeing maintenance activities coordinating change implementation and providing onsite support during scheduled maintenance windows
- Review and validate technical documents such asMOPsRisk Assessments andSOPs and help manage vendor change requests through the internal change management process
- Consolidate maintenance schedules monitor change records and support risk-based approvals and escalations including preparation forCABreviews
- Respond to facility incidents and alarms by verifying affected areas coordinating with providers and ensuring emergency procedures are activated where required
- Maintain accurate maintenance change and audit records while providing regular operational updates on facility activities support requests and performance
- Provide after-hours support through an agreed on-call roster and assist with additional facility-related duties that support business continuity and operational efficiency
About You:
- 12 years of relevant onsite experience in data center operations facilities support or a similar environment with the ability to complete a tailored training plan related to the role
- Working knowledge of data center infrastructure systems includingelectrical mechanical HVAC fire suppression and monitoring systems
- Strong communication skills with the ability to provide updates clearly escalate issues promptly and work effectively within structured maintenance and incident processes
- Familiarity with incident management change management and risk-based review of vendor maintenance activities in operational environments
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond with urgency during incidents particularly in large-scale or mission-critical settings
- Exposure to capacity management rack layout planning space/power/cooling provisioning or industry certifications such asCDCPwould be an advantage
