Equipment Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering Sarawak

Job Summary

The Equipment Engineer is responsible for supporting and optimizing the substrate manufacturing equipment. This role combines hands-on Equipment ownership and operational excellence with applied engineering analysis ensuring consistent equipment stability product quality yield improvement and process stability and OEE. The engineer will also contribute to data-driven research and improvement initiatives to advance equipment capability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting support to Manufacturing.
• Data Analysis to identify inefficiencies and recommend enhancements. Participate in troubleshooting debugging and maintaining automation equipment and processes.
• Assist in designing testing and implementing automation solutions including hardware and software components.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify opportunities for automation improvements.
• Support the integration of control systems sensors actuators and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to optimize performance.
• Document project progress technical specifications and outcomes for future reference and compliance. Stay updated on emerging automation technologies and contribute innovative ideas to improve system capabilities.

Qualifications :

REQUIRED:

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics  Engineering / Mechatronics Engineering. Candidates from Computer Science with exposure and interest in Hardware and encouraged to apply.
• Proficiency in  SolidWorks or equivalent engineering software will be added advantage.
• Programming/data analysis skills: MATLAB Python C or R will be added advantage.
• Knowledge in Thermodynamics Fluid Mechanics Heat Transfer and Structural Mechanics will be added advantage.
• Experience in technical report writing field data collection and equipment condition assessment
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in operational environments
