We are Sisco Jobs a recruitment consultancy based in Trichy Tamil Nadu. We are hiring on behalf of our client for the position of Engineering Coordinator in Malaysia. Our client is a reputed organization in the Engineering / Structural Steel Fabrication sector seeking skilled motivated professionals. Based on the JD the role involves reviewing design drawings coordinating engineering activities supporting detailing and monitoring project progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and interpret engineering design drawings and specifications.
- Implement project specifications and industry standards for steel materials and welding.
- Prepare and submit RFIs TQs and RFAs for technical clarifications.
- Recommend engineering alternatives and connection details.
- Review structural models and shop drawings.
- Lead engineering coordination and detailing activities.
- Monitor drawing schedules and prepare weekly progress reports.
- Support departmental assignments as directed by management.
Required Skills
- Structural Drawing Review Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Shop Drawing Coordination Experience reviewing and coordinating fabrication drawings.
- Steel Structure Knowledge Understanding of steel materials and connections.
- Welding & Surface Treatment Standards Familiarity with project specifications.
- Technical Documentation RFI/TQ/RFA preparation and management.
Preferred Skills
- Tekla Structures knowledge
- AutoCAD proficiency
- Project planning and reporting experience
Work Experience Requirements

Education
- Minimum: Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering Structural Engineering Mechanical Engineering or related field (Typical)
- Preferred: Masters Degree or relevant engineering certification
- Additional: CAD / Tekla / Project Coordination certifications
Required Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D and Navisworks. Proficiency in creating 3D models Piping Isometrics GA drawings and Piping -depth knowledge of Piping BOM MTO and Piping Material Specifications (PMS). Familiarity with piping support systems and basic understanding of stress analysis. Solid understanding of P&ID for boilers and power plants. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and team interactions. Strong leadership abilities to manage and guide a team towards successful project completion.
Required Education:
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME) or Bachelors Degree in Engineering (BE) with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the design stream.
