Engineer, Product Engineering

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Product Engineer to join our team in George Town Malaysia. As a Product Engineer you will play a crucial role in HDD-Media-Head performance characterization.

• You would guide Media Mfg. Engineering team to optimize process to deliver best Media performance at HDD.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize product specifications and requirements (PM Development and Process Engineering teams)
• Optimize existing products for improved yield performance cost-effectiveness and manufacturability
• Support Media performance optimization from development to high volume production
• Stay updated on industry trends new technologies and manufacturing processes
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations
• Drive digitalization initiatives in manufacturing
• Implementing data-driven decision-making using advanced analytics.
• Utilize AI/ML models for predictive analysis of yield reliability and performance trends.

Qualifications :

REQUIRED:

• Bachelors degree in engineering or related field
• Excellent problem-solving and strong analytical skills
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

PREFERRED:

• Familiarity with industry-specific knowledge (HDD or Media process related experience would be added advantage)
• Update to date on Industry 4.0 technologies automation and smart factory trends.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site manufacturing support or meetings

SKILLS:

• Data analytics tools (JMP Minitab SQL) and exposure to Python/R for data science are an added advantage
