E&I and Ex Inspector

Job Purpose

To supervise and inspect the installation and testing activities of electrical and instrumentation systems including Ex certification to ensure that project installation and commissioning requirements are met.

Main Responsibilities and Activities

• Ensure the technical integrity of electrical and instrumentation works including Ex certification management.

• Verify that electrical and instrumentation works are carried out in compliance with approved project procedures work instructions specifications and applicable international codes and standards.

• Ensure that contractor E&I inspection personnel hold valid qualifications including Ex certification and perform their duties with due care and diligence in accordance with approved procedures.

• Verify that the contractor adopts suitable procedures for the safe handling and packaging of E&I equipment in accordance with ATEX Directive 94/9/EC IEC 60073 IEC 60079 IEC 61508 and IEC 61511 as applicable.

• Provide technical support troubleshooting and technical solutions.

• Coordinate with the Construction Team and equivalent contractor representatives.

Requirements

• Technical Diploma or higher education qualification preferred.

• Certified training in IEC 60079 preferred.

• Quality Assurance training.

• Minimum 10 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry.

• Minimum 6 years of experience as an E&I Inspector for installation and testing activities.

• Knowledge of applicable E&I industry codes and standards.

• Ability to read P&IDs PFDs Single-Line Diagrams Loop Diagrams and other relevant engineering drawings.

• General knowledge of ISO 9000 quality requirements and safety standards.

• Knowledge of quality-control testing and inspection.

• Basic knowledge of construction and commissioning HSE requirements and their implementation.

• CompEx certification preferred.

• Previous FLNG experience preferred.
