Peninsula International School is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 7 & 8 BEAL - Bridging English as an Additional Language Teacher to join the Middle School team from January 2027.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and inspiring lessons that develop students literacy communication critical thinking and academic confidence during these important transition years. - Teach Year 7 and Year 8 EAL classes within the Middle School.
- Plan and deliver engaging differentiated lessons that inspire a love of learning.
- Create a positive classroom culture built on high expectations respect and student wellbeing.
- Assess monitor and report on student progress using a range of assessment strategies.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development and whole-school initiatives.
- Maintain effective communication with parents and carers regarding student progress.
- Participate fully in professional development staff meetings school events and extracurricular activities.
- Contribute positively to the wider life of the school community.
- Recognised Teaching Degree or a relevant degree with PGCE.
- Minimum three years successful teaching experience.
- Experience teaching within an international curriculum.
- Experience in Southeast Asia is preferred with experience in the MENA region also viewed favourably.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare (clear police/DBS checks required).
- Adaptable collaborative and culturally aware.
- Applicants should ideally be under 60 years of age to meet regional employment requirements.
- Competitive monthly salary of approximately US$2935 US$3700 depending on qualifications and experience.
- Monthly housing allowance of approximately US$730 enabling comfortable accommodation close to the school.
- Annual flights provided at the beginning and end of your contract.
