Job Summary
Our client is a Bursa Malaysia Main Market-listed technology and digital solutions group currently undergoing a strategic rebranding and transformation operating across three distinct but complementary business lines: (1) a Microsoft solutions reseller business (2) a project-based software development practice and (3) a portfolio of scalable digital platforms. The CEO will provide end-to-end strategic and operational leadership across all three each with a fundamentally different economic model and will be the architect of how they are sequenced resourced and integrated into a coherent group strategy.
This is a hands-on builder-CEO role. The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to conceive launch and scale technology businesses ideally having personally built or led at least one of the three business models described below combined with the governance discipline of operating within a listed company environment.
The CEO will focus on strategy operations and organizational execution; capital markets activity (fundraising placements M&A execution) remains led by the Group CFO with the CEO providing business-case input and operational readiness.
What will you do:
1. Digital Platforms Scalable Growth Engine (Top Priority)
- Own the strategic vision and roadmap for the groups digital platform businesses positioning them as the primary long-term value and margin driver.
- Identify evaluate and prioritise platform opportunities (including AI-enabled platforms) that can scale with strong unit economics and recurring/repeatable revenue.
- Set go-to-market monetisation and growth strategy for each platform; drive user/customer acquisition retention and platform economics.
- Build the product engineering and data capabilities required to scale platforms partnering with the Software Development unit where relevant.
- Establish metrics and governance to track platform performance and make disciplined scale/invest/exit decisions.
2. Software Development Project-Based Delivery & Workforce Strategy
- Set strategy and oversee delivery for the software development business recognising its project-based seasonal demand profile.
- Design and execute a flexible manpower strategy balancing a core permanent bench with contract partner and outsourced resourcing to manage utilisation and margins through demand peaks and troughs.
- Oversee project pipeline resourcing forecasts and delivery governance to ensure consistent quality on-time delivery and profitability across engagements.
- Build reusable accelerators frameworks and IP from client projects that can feed into or cross-sell the digital platforms business.
- Own client relationships for strategic accounts and support business development for new project wins.
3. Microsoft Reseller / IT Solutions Core Base Business
- Maintain and strengthen the Microsoft reseller and IT solutions business as a stable revenue base while actively managing its inherently lower-margin economics.
- Drive operational efficiency vendor relationship management (including Microsoft partner status/tiering) and cost discipline to protect margins.
- Identify opportunities to upsell managed services cloud and value-added solutions to the existing customer base.
- Evaluate the reseller businesss strategic role over time as a customer acquisition channel cash generator and cross-sell base for platforms and software development.
4. Group Strategy Organisational Leadership & Talent
- Translate the overall group vision into an integrated strategy that sequences investment and management attention across the three business lines with digital platforms as the priority focus.
- Build and lead a senior leadership team capable of running each business line with clear accountability KPIs and P&L ownership at the business-unit level.
- Drive a group-wide talent and organisational strategy that accommodates the different workforce models required (stable base for reseller/platforms vs. flexible/seasonal for software development).
- Foster a unified performance-driven culture across three otherwise distinct business models operating under one listed entity.
5. Listed Company Governance & Compliance
- Operate within the governance disclosure and conduct standards expected of a CEO of a Bursa Malaysia Main Market-listed company.
- Work closely with the Board Audit Committee and Group CFO on financial reporting integrity internal controls and statutory/regulatory compliance.
- Ensure business strategy and material developments are properly and timely communicated for Bursa disclosure purposes in coordination with the company secretarial and investor relations functions.
- Support the Group CFO on fundraising M&A and other corporate exercises by providing business strategy input due diligence support and post-transaction operational integration while day-to-day ownership of these exercises remains with the Group CFO.
Who are we looking for:
Experience
- Minimum 1215 years of progressive leadership experience in technology digital or IT services businesses including at least 5 years in a CEO Managing Director or equivalent P&L leadership role.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in at least one ideally more of: (i) building or scaling a digital platform business (ii) leading a project-based software development/IT services practice (iii) operating a technology reseller or managed services business.
- Prior experience in a Bursa Malaysia or other stock exchange-listed company is strongly preferred with working familiarity with audit processes listing requirements and corporate governance obligations.
- Track record of building and leading senior management teams across multiple business units with differing operating models.
- Experience designing flexible workforce models for project- or seasonally-driven businesses is a strong advantage.

- Strong stakeholder management skills able to work closely with the Group CEO Board Group CFO and external parties (regulators key vendors such as Microsoft strategic partners).
