Business Development Manager, Emission Control
Job Summary
Responsibilities / Tasks
- Develop and expand the Emission Control business in Southeast Asia
- Define and implement business strategies in alignment with global management
- Identify and penetrate new or underdeveloped markets
- Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities and trends
- Acquire new customers and strengthen relationships with key accounts and partners
- Build long-term trust-based customer relationships through full project lifecycle engagement
- Lead sales activities including presentations meetings and negotiations
- Gather and clarify customer requirements for gas cleaning and emission control systems
- Provide consulting during proposal stages and develop customized technical solutions
- Coordinate with internal teams (application project management service and leadership)
- Ensure successful project delivery from proposal through plant completion
- Optimize sales processes and continuously improve business performance
- Implement and refine sales strategies and operational processes
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to business growth
Your Profile / Qualifications
Educational Background
- The Technical Foundation: A degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with a sophisticated understanding of Thermal Separation Technology (evaporators vacuum systems etc.) and their process applications.
Professional Knowledge and Experiences
- Proven Track Record: At least 10 years of successful sales experience with a demonstrated ability to grow share of wallet within strategic accounts and successfully break into new market segments.
- Established Network: You possess an existing high-quality sales network in at least one core industry (Palm Oil Chemical or F&B) and the ability to leverage these ties quickly.
- Strategic Entrepreneurship: You are a result-driven hunter with a can-do attitude. You think strategically but act with the speed and passion of a business owner.
- Local Expertise: You are currently based in Indonesia understand the local business nuances and have a clear desire for long-term career advancement within a global leader.
Other Skills & Competencies
- good communication and social skills and has excellent knowledge of the English language and are willing to travel
- Ability to collaborate effectively across functions with internal and external stakeholder
