BIM Manager (C&S)

This position is for a leading Malaysian construction and infrastructure group with a strong track record in delivering large-scale developments across multiple sectors. As part of its ongoing growth the company is seeking talented professionals to join its expanding team.

BIM Manager is responsible for managing projects in line with the companys Digital Engineering Strategy. Ultimately you will coordinate the design team provide technical upskilling and mentoring and
act as the primary point of contact for project management ensuring the delivery of coordinated models data reports and related project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support the Design HOD and project leads by assisting with strategic planning.
  
• Coordinate project teams and models to ensure seamless integration and collaboration
  
• Organize configure and maintain projects to ensure effective project management and delivery.
  
• Manage Revit project production and content to ensure consistency and quality.
  
• Ensure adherence to model QAQC procedures to maintain high standards of accuracy and reliability in project models.
  
• Ensure the companys standards procedures and workflows are applied and communicated to project teams.
  
• Assure projects are developed and coordinated in accordance with BIM contractual requirements without causing risk to the company.
  
• Verify models and associated deliverables (drawing schedules data) for compliance with BIM requirements including both the company and client specifications.
  
• Identify efficiencies and productivity enhancement in the BIM process to optimize workflow.
  
• Propose contribute or lead in Research and Development initiatives aimed at advancing BIM technology and practices.
  
• Provide technical support and training for BIM-enabling software applications and other digital systems.
  
• Mentor project teams on the implementation of the companys processes and best practices to ensure effective and efficient project execution.
  
• Liaise with clients and other parties BIM representatives to ensure smooth workflow effective model coordination and accurate data transfer throughout the duration of the project.
  
• Lead workshops with consultants and subcontractors to communicate and implement BIM requirements effectively.
  
• Facilitate BIM implementation on site to ensure practical application of BIM strategies and adherence to project requirements.
  
• Provide assistance on tenders as needed contributing to the preparation and submission of proposals.
  
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the superior and/or the management.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of full-time working experience in BIM or related fields.
  
• Experience working in an architectural/engineering production environment.
  
• Experience as a BIM Coordinator/Manager on medium/large scale projects in Revit and associated technologies
• BIM Qualifications and Certification
• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or other equivalent fields.
• In-depth knowledge of the BIM authoring and coordination software (Revit Navisworks etc.)
  
• In depths knowledge of BIM standards tools and methods to allow for design collaboration coordination model-based drawing production clash detection and model-based quantity take-off.
  
• Basic knowledge of design analytics software tools and methods used in structural and civil engineering.
  
• Knowledge of Dynamo Python and other computation and scripting tools and language is considered a plus.
  
• Excellent organisational skills and able to manage sensitive and confidential information.
  
• Self-motivated and able to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to daily tasks and in response to direction or instruction.
  
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively while assisting and supporting team members.
