Position Responsibilities
The Associate is a critically important role in a fast-paced and expanding client-facing team. BGAs Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) & Healthcare Team has responsibility forengagingthe worlds leading companies andcraftingstrategic advisory services that advance their business priorities in the Indo-Pacific region and Africa. The Associate will support all aspects of client management includingdevelopingtrustingand effective working relationships communicating regularly with clients and BGA professionals across the region guiding the delivery of exceptional service andcontributinginsightsandideasinto all aspects of BGAs work.Together witha team ofclient services professionalsand BGA leadership the associatewill work with the CPG & Healthcare teamto support clientrelationships anddeliver services that exceed is afast-paced and demanding rolewhich requireshigh EQexcellent communication skills initiativeinnate curiosityandthe ability to foster collaboration while translatinginformationinto actionon deadline across the BGA enterprise.
Project Management/Internal Communications
- Ensure alignment across the BGA enterprise in support of client objectives. This entails:
- Close and continuous coordination with seniormembers of theclient services teamcountryteamsandresearch team.
- Fostering collaboration and teamwork.
- Ensuring that tasks are clearly understood responsibilities assignedandtimelines met.

- Manage internal communication at both the working level and senior level with BGAexpertson client deliverables:
- Arrange internal coordination calls to discussissues and potential solutionsframe client questionsensure proper role-sortingand help prompt deliverables to ensure on-time delivery.
- Support in cross-functional coordination.

- Draft read-ahead and/or talking points forsenior members of the team and BGA leadershipfor clientinteractions.
- Utilizecommunications platform(s) todrive project management and ensure delivery of high-qualityservice.
- Monitor and curateawareness ofclient/companybusinessglobally and inthe Indo-Pacificto informBGAs strategies.
Research Writing and Editing
- Manage updateandexpandinternalclients databasesin a timely manner and help flag important developments and drive awareness for the relevant team members.
- Conductongoingresearch onassigned clients and sectorsto informclient read-ahead and/or talking points for the senior directordirector vicepresident or CEO.
- Contribute content and editing to research productsincluding news flashesclient memostheAsia-PacificForecastand othersas requested by thehead ofresearch.
- Frame provideandsolicit inputandconductfinal check for client deliverablesincluding stakeholder maps engagement strategiesmonthly monitoring matricesetc.
- Keep abreast ofnewsrelevantto clients and provide top-line analysis of current events and how developments affect clients business operations.
Support the growth of Client Relationships
- Develop a highly sophisticated understanding of clients business models their Asia- and Africa- focused initiatives and the challenges and opportunities present for clients in the region.
- Support the CPG & Healthcare team to establish trusting relationships with the people with whom we work both internally and externally.
Network Development/Internal Communications
- Participate in webinars conferences and external events on behalf of the CPG & Healthcare team to raise the teams sector knowledge and profile.
Job Requirements
The associate position combines client relations with the skills and responsibilities required for internal management and leadership. The ideal candidate can work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively as a team player in high-pressure situations. He/she can effectively manage multiple work streams while meeting deadlines and should be highly self-motivated well organized detail oriented and collegial. He/she should feel comfortable interacting with a range of interlocutors and should enjoy the various challenges of supporting large multinational corporations operating in theIndo-Pacific. The ability to interact effectively both inside the company and externally in a fast-paced environment while remaining flexible proactive and efficient is crucial to this role.
Qualifications Include
- Expertise and/or experience in theIndo-Pacificgenerallyand the regions geopolitical and economictrajectories specifically.
- Experience in healthcare reimbursement and market access nutrition EPR sustainability supply chain policy and regulations in the region
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in native-level English; proficiency in anAsian language is a strong plus.
- Twoto five years of experience in work requiringanalysis experience inadvocacy-focused organizations (business councils industry associations membership organizations) particularly in member-facing roles isa strong plus.
- Aptitude for public speaking and project presentations.
- Superb and self-confident interpersonal skillsincludingwith international counterparts.
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic internet applications are requiredas is enthusiasm and ability to learn and adopt new technologies.
- Education: Minimum bachelors degree;graduate degree inbusinesspublic policypublic affairsinternational affairsjournalismor related fields is preferred.The position reports to the Director for CPG & Healthcare.
