Associate Director, Financial Reporting

• Assist in developing and improving financial reporting processes and procedures.
• Assist with department resource planning and staff allocation.
• Attend pitches to potential new clients client due diligence meetings and board/client meetings as required.
• Build and maintain a strong relationships with clients vendors and audit firms.
• Continue to carry out the core roles of the team including the creation preparation and review of financial statement workings/reports. Including assisting direct reports and other team members where necessary.
• Develop an understanding of the financial reporting process and assist in the creation of the target operating model for our clients.
• Ensure all invoices are raised and fees are collected in a timely manner.
• Ensure that all processes are performed in accordance with operational procedures and controls and that all relevant checklists trackers planners and desktop notes are completed.
• Keep up to date with applicable accounting standards and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Manage the staff that report directly to you assist in training team members and participate in their performance review process.
• Monitor and manage the reporting deadlines for the services/clients that you and your staff are accountable for.
• Take on ad-hoc tasks as required.

Qualifications :

• Post-secondary education with a concentration in finance accounting mathematics or related fields.
• Professional qualification in ACA ACCA CPA CIMA or CFA.
• Have 5-7 years experience in a financial reporting role preferable in a similar industry
