Job Description & Summary

A career in our Digital Trust and Cybersecurity practice within Risk Services under PwCs Assurance Line of Service will provide exciting opportunities to kickstart your career by supporting our engagement teams servicing clients primarily by providing advice and counsel on technology and cybersecurity risk management related subject matters.

You will be a key member of projects involving independent assessments against local regulatory requirements and global frameworks cybersecurity and IT general control audits and independent reviews of clients environments and controls to identify areas for improvement - putting forth practical tailored recommendations grounded in industry best practices.

Responsibilities

As a Digital Trust and Cybersecurity Associate youll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborating with the team and client to meet project requirements taking ownership of assigned tasks and delivering quality outcomes.

  • Proactively supporting engagement management and maintaining strong client relationships including oversight of work products timelines and deliverables.

  • Understanding the clients environment business needs and strategic objectives to ensure the work done and recommendations put forth to the client remain relevant and fit for purpose.

  • Applying critical thinking and practicing having a curious mindset - prioritising substance over form to dissect and simplify complex topics.

  • Researching complex topics and benchmarking technology and cybersecurity risk practices against industry leaders then tailoring recommendations to fit the clients specific environment and needs.

  • Continuously enhancing technical knowledge recognising that the technology and cybersecurity risk landscape is constantly evolving and requires ongoing upskilling.

  • Continuously developing soft skills such as presentation and report-writing skills - to effectively communicate complex ideas and engage confidently with clients and stakeholders.

General Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science IT Business Information Systems (BIS) Accounting Information Systems (AIS) or any other related disciplines (We are also keen to consider other degree disciplines who have interest in exploring a career in technology and cybersecurity governance risk and controls)

  • Familiarity with the local regulatory landscape related to technology and cybersecurity domains (e.g. BNM NACSA Securities Commission MCMC etc) and global standards / frameworks such as NIST and ISO.

  • Passionate about emerging digitization trends and technology risk with understanding about business and IT processes

  • The ability to work effectively in different teams for varying periods of time building good working relationships with both colleagues and client personnel.

  • Strong communication skills in both oral and written English.

  • Strong analytical and project management skills with the ability to think critically put forth well-reasoned recommendations and challenge existing views in light of the clients strategic goals and business environment.

  • Strong time-management skills with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities/deadlines.

  • A proactive self-motivated learner who thrives in a fast-changing technology and regulatory environment.
