Assistant Convention Centre Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Assistant Convention Centre Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Convention Centre ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of all banquet and meeting functions.  This role leads and supports the banquet operations team coordinates closely with internal departments maintains exceptional service standards maximized banquet revenue and ensures every event is executed seamlessly while creating memorable guest experiences in a positive and collaborative work environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Oversee the daily operations of banquet and convention centre events ensuring seamless execution guest experiences.
• Lead coach and supervise the Convention Centre team to maintain high service hygiene and operational standards.
• Coordinate with Sales Kitchen and other departments to ensure all event requirements are delivered efficiently.
• Plan and manage event setups including venue layouts staffing and banquet logistics according to guest requirements.
• Monitor operational performance control cost and maximize banquet revenue while adhering to budget guidelines.
• Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally to ensure customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
• Ensure compliance with company policies health and safety regulations and food safety standards.
• Support the Operations Manager/ Convention Centre Manager in achieving departmental goals and perform additional operational duties as required.

Qualifications :

• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant industry experience.
• Proficient in speaking and writing Bahasa Malaysia. English proficiency is an added advantage.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• A team player with a proactive self-motivated approachable and positive attitude.
