AS400 COBOL LifeAsia Developer

We are looking for an experienced AS400 / COBOL Life/Asia Developer to support application development system enhancements implementation and production support activities within the insurance domain. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Life/Asia COBOL development and AS400 environments.

• Design develop test and implement solutions within the Life/Asia application.
• Perform coding unit testing troubleshooting debugging and production support activities.
• Support day-end month-end and ad-hoc batch processing activities.
• Analyze business and functional requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Deliver system enhancements defect fixes and project initiatives within agreed timelines.
• Ensure compliance with SDLC change management security and governance processes.
• Participate in code reviews version control and quality assurance activities.
• Work closely with business users vendors and project stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on Life/Asia development and implementation experience.
• Strong experience in COBOL development and AS400/iSeries environment.
• Experience in Life/Asia coding customization system enhancements and production support.
• Strong knowledge of JCL batch processing and job scheduling.
• Experience in system design coding unit testing troubleshooting and deployment activities.
• Good understanding of SDLC change management and release management processes.
• Ability to support critical production issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Experience working with version control code reviews application security and performance optimization.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
