We operate on a two-hub model. Our Australian team owns client relationships.


Our Kenya team is the delivery engine - handling implementation development and technical work that makes every project run. The people who join us in Kenya now will help set the standard for how this team works as it scales.


About the role

You will be one of the primary hands doing the technical work of getting clients live on Sage Intacct - and you will stay with them after go-live. Because you will have built the clients configuration run their data migration and sat through their training sessions you will own their post-go-live support. You carry the context no one else has. That means configuring the system to match each clients chart of accounts project structure and approval workflows; running data migrations from their existing accounting platform; building reports; supporting training and go-live; and then being the primary support contact once they are live.


You will work closely with an Australian-based lead consultant who manages the client relationship and discovery. Your job is to execute the implementation to a high standard - on time without
surprises - and to make sure clients remain confident in the system long after they go live.


What youll do

  • Configure Sage Intacct to match each clients chart of accounts entity structure project codes and approval workflows
  • Run data migrations from clients existing accounting platforms - including Xero MYOB and other systems - extracting mapping transforming and validating financial data
  • Build financial reports and dashboards in Sage Intacct tailored to each clients operational and board-level reporting needs
  • Support client training sessions and go-live - answer questions resolve issues and make sure the system works the way the client was told it would
  • Own post-go-live support for your clients - you have the implementation context so you are best placed to resolve issues answer questions and advise on system use
  • Deploy and configure pre-built integrations between Sage Intacct and third-party platforms - connecting the clients operational tools to their financial system as part of the implementation
  • Test configurations thoroughly before handing to the client - you own quality at your stage of the project
  • Document what you build - configurations data mappings integration setups report specs and post-go-live notes - clearly and completely
  • Work with the developer to scope and hand off custom integration and development requirements
  • Participate in internal project reviews and flag blockers or risks early


What were looking for:

  • CPA qualification or equivalent accounting degree with 5 years of experience in finance or ERP implementation
  • Hands-on experience configuring and implementing ERP or financial management software
  • Experience running or supporting discovery workshops user acceptance testing and go-live processes
  • Data migration experience - extracting and transforming financial data from Xero MYOB or other accounting platforms using Excel CSV tooling or scripting
  • Basic understanding of API concepts - what an API does how data moves between systems and when to involve a developer
  • Understanding of construction accounting - WIP schedules retentions job costing progress claims and subcontractor management
  • Experience designing complex financial system configurations not just basic bookkeeping setups
  • Strong documentation skills - you produce clear specs and handover notes that the next person can act on without asking questions
  • Able to communicate financial system concepts clearly to CFO-level stakeholders not just technical teams
  • Experience working with or for international or multinational organisations is a strong advantage

  • Australian business hours - This role works Sydney time. Nairobi is 7 hours behind Sydney in winter and 8 hours behind in summer. Your mornings are Australian business hours. Your afternoons and evenings are your own.
  • Reliable high-speed internet - Remote work at a professional standard requires a fast and stable internet connection. This is not negotiable.
  • Client-facing confidence - You will present configuration decisions migration results and training material directly to finance leaders - and stay as their support contact after go-live. You need to communicate clearly and professionally at a CFO level.
  • Strong English - written and spoken - All client communication documentation and internal work is in English. Written and spoken fluency is required.
