Job Opportunity: Workshop Technician

Our client is seeking a Workshop Technician to assist in both mechanical and electrical maintenance and repairs of machinery including glazing surfacing and eye testing equipment. This role involves working with various instruments such as ultrasonic cleaners frame heaters and UV machines.

Responsibilities:

• Maintenance servicing and repairing of small machines and equipment
  
• Ensuring all maintenance activities adhere to workshop guidelines
  
• Developing maintenance strategies for equipment
  
• Managing a service history database
  
• Advising on required spare parts and minimizing obsolescence
  
• Following remote instructions
  
• Troubleshooting equipment issues
  
• Working on glazing surfacing tinting and repairs
  

Requirements

Requirements:

1. Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
   
2. Handson experience in troubleshooting and handling mechanical breakdowns
   
3. Ability to read understand and follow technical drawings
   
4. Basic knowledge of electrical systems and ability to interpret simple electrical diagrams
   
5. Familiarity with electrical tools like multimeters and clamp meters
   
6. Proficiency in soldering
   
7. Effective communication skills
   
8. Fast learner
