Job Description
Position Purpose:
Work on windows applications migrating from on-premises to cloud systems and help manage their dependencies. Help in application support as SRE for customer tenants.
Job functions:
Help in migration of on-prem Windows applications to cloud.
Help in rolling out incremental application updates on cloud.
Help in managing automation of DevOps practices and strive towards achieving CICD.
Help in managing application dependencies (on the system and external dependencies).
Help in managing fixing bugs for -> DotNet, Powershell, Python, etc.
Must-have Skills:
Knowledge of minimum two of these: C#.NET, .NET Core, ASP.NET, ADO.NET
- Strong knowledge of CICD, minimum one of these -> Azure DevOps, Github, Teamcity, etc.
- Strong scripting knowledge, minimum one of these: PowerShell, Python, Shell
- Knowledge of server management, minimum one of these: IIS, Windows Servers, TFS and MS SQL 2008 or above.
- Must be from a development background.
- Exposure to at least one cloud platform Google, AWS or Azure (Azure is preferable).
- Able to work with different teams to resolve issues.
Good-to-have Skills:
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code
- Willing to explore and adopt new technologies.
- Knowledge of C++/MFC, Win32 API
- Awareness of MS-SQL server DB applications.
- Able to track multi-system workflows and debug issues.
