Main accountabilities of the Welfare & Diversity Manager will include:
Developing a structure for an effective workers welfare department consisting of welfare supervisors/officers and worker committees.
Managing a Welfare Office that is located where workers can access without fear of being spotted.
Developing an awareness campaign around the new structure to instill trust in the welfare department together with other key internal stakeholders.
Identifying and managing worker welfare issues such as drug abuse alcohol abuse HIV and genderbased violence (GBV).
Ensuring the Company attracts hires and maintains a diverse workplace.
Proposing new ideas to improve overall welfare for employees and diversity overseeing implementation of these activities.
Managing regular reviews of the Companys operations to ensure they are compliant with relevant legislation statutory guidance industry rules/regulations and company policies and procedures on welfare and diversity.
Preparing and reviewing reports managing information and sharing data on the number and type of concerns allegations and lessons learned to improve welfare & safeguarding.
Collecting and analyzing information to evaluate the Companys workforce in accordance with diversity standards and goals.
Drafting and implementing recruiting and hiring strategies to attract employees from diverse backgrounds in the Department.
Meeting frequently with worker committee representatives to discuss worker welfare issues
