VMC Operator

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Efficiently operate and set up Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs) to produce parts to the required specifications
• Read and interpret technical drawings blueprints and work instructions
• Knowledge and experience with various tooling and work holding setups
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
• Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and identify issues
• Conduct quality checks using measuring instruments such as micrometers calipers and gauges
• Adhere to safety and quality standards while following standard operating procedures
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth production flow
• Document production and setup activities as per company procedures
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and quality

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification
• Proven experience as a VMC Operator or similar role
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
• Knowledge of Fanuc or Haas or Mitsubishi Operating System
• Ability to perform machine setup and tooling changes
• Familiarity with quality control processes and measuring instruments
• Strong attention to detail and precision in work
• Problemsolving skills to troubleshoot machine and production issues
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Adherence to safety protocols and understanding of machine operation hazards
