Video Editor

• Manipulate and edit footages in a way that is invisible to the audience.
  
• Take a brief to grasp the production team s needs and specifications.
  
• Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on video s value and contribution to continuity.
  
• Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the video.
  
• Input music dialogues graphics and effects.
  
• Create rough and final cuts.
  
• Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running.
  
• Consult with content manager ; client from production to postproduction process.
  
• Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry s best practices to maximize efficiency.
  
• Meet client s deadlines and deliver high quality work as a team on projects assigned.
  
• Support the business development activities / pitches.
  
• Maintain keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and provide effective content strategies.
  
• Responsible for daily media monitoring for own accounts and client alerts.
  
• Take initiative to expand expertise in digital and social media marketing. This will involve management of clients social media platforms (content creations and implementation).
  
• To undertake any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
  

Requirements

• Possess at least a certification in Communications/ Media Studies or equivalent.
  
• At least 2 years of related working experience is required. However fresh graduates with high passion and interest in the Digital or Multimedia industry are encouraged to apply for the Executive role.
  
• Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Avid Media Composer Lightworks Premiere After Effects and Final Cut).
  
• Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio.
  
• Thorough knowledge of timing motivation and continuity.
  
• Familiarity with special effects 3D and compositing.
  
• Creative mind and skills.
  
• Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with team members to reliably carry out projects.
  
• Ability to work well independently and as a team as well as able to meet tight deadlines.
  
• Good command of spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia. Proficiency in Chinese will be an added advantage.
  
• Good attitude and ability to work well under stress is a MUST.
  
• Must be confident enthusiastic and enjoy meeting people.
  
• Willing to work on extended hours and on Public Holidays when necessary.
  
• Preferably possess own transport for ease of carrying out the job.
