Work Summary

110 User Researchers to be recruited.

.

Research to be conducted on policies of our customer (from Education Domain) related to Skills Schools & Families.

.

Wide range of user groups some large pollution some niche.

.

Generally qualitative and interviewbased research

Duration of the engagement till end of 2026.

No specific location e.g. they can work remotely

Always SoW based to be notified prior to the start date of the SoW

GBP (£) Per Day basis allinclusive plus VAT.

Description of Participants

.

Specialist User Group (Contract 1) i.e. Teaching Education and Children s services professionals.

Ø Leadership management administration support and specialist roles in schools (maintained academies special schools) multiacademy trusts and further education.

Ø Teaching roles in state schools and academy trusts and FE:

Ø Local authority employees

Ø Child and family social workers

Ø HR professionals

Ø Nursery and other formal early years setting leadership management and administration staff for example:

o Early years practitioners

o Training and learning providers.

Mainstream User Group (Contract 2) i.e. Learners General Public Business & Industry.

Ø Young people (under 18)

Ø Parents families and carers of children and young people

Ø People over 16 in training or job searching.

Ø Employers who employ apprentices and other people in learning and development roles

Ø Professional services suppliers and contractors to schools academies and further education

Ø Adults in further education

Ø People interested in a teaching career in the UK (including people currently nonresident in the UK)

Ø Leaders and employees of voluntary and community sector organisations

Ø Leaders and employees of industry bodies trades unions and similar organisations

Ø Other UK businesses of all sizes and other members of the public


Assisted digital and accessibility requirements

It is essential that we research with service users who also have disabilities are digitally excluded or are underrepresented in Government Education policy and services.

When recruiting users from any user within the Specialist or Mainstream groups we may ask for users within those groups who:

Have a disability or other selfreported access need including using assistive technology when accessing the web or doing their job

Are neurodivergent

Are digitally excluded including:

Low digital skills

Have poor connectivity or lack of technology to access digital services

Choose not to use digital services

Have low English skills or speak English as an additional language

Identify in a group that typically has lower than average educational outcomes or may be underrepresented e.g.:

Low household income including families receiving free school meals

Care leavers

People with an ethnicity with typically lowerthanaverage educational outcomes e.g. Black Caribbean; Mixed white and black Caribbean; Gypsy Roma and Irish Traveller


Research Plan

There shall be multiple SoW under each contract for a specific group or location etc. A detail plan shall be made available at the time of commencement of the engagement.

The shortlisted supplier shall have to sign our standard consortium partnership agreement.

The successful supplier must sign our standard nondisclosure and noncompete agreement.

The successful supplier must provide proof of GDPR compliance.

The successful supplier must adhere to our customer s information security and GDPR policies

Essential Skills and Experience

.

Ability to start the project within 1 week of award

.

Ability to recruit required users within 1 week of project initiation

.

Demonstrated experience providing user research participants for consumerfacing financial services and/or government

.

Demonstrated experience creating discussion guides and facilitating qualitative user research to achieve supplied learning objectives

.

Demonstrated experience deriving actionable results from user interviews and taskbased prototype tests

.

Demonstrated experience identifying prioritising and communicating design and usability issues

.

Demonstrated experience conducting remote user research including testing prototypes on both desk /laptop and mobile platforms

Nice to have skills

.

Our assumption is that for any participants recruited under this contract the supplier will manage and pay any incentive payments to participants.

.

For any other participants recruited outside of this contract

.

However we may have some instances where we require incentive to be paid by bank transfer for example:

Ø To people who are digitally excluded or otherwise couldn t accept an onlineonly incentive

Ø To people outside of the UK

.

Therefore we would like to explore whether the supplier under this contract could deliver occasional incentives only statements of work (i.e. supplying only the incentive payment as a bank transfer and not the participant recruitment).

Additional Assessment Methods

We request User Researcher Recruiter to submit their proposal in line with the above requirements along with their professional fees on or before last submission date. We are open for application from Individuals having their own VAT id or Small Agencies.
