Contract - Test Manager (3 days a week)

Salary: Up to 450 a day depending on experience

Location: 3 days a week in the London office (onsite)

Duration: 6 month contract (Outside IR35)

Summary

Our client requires a seasoned Test Manager with major system and change management experience to create, build and lead on all aspects of end-to-end manual testing.

We need your expertise to help our client design and implement a test strategy from the ground up and embed and deliver for this project.

Working with great stakeholders you ll showcase your great skills by creating and guiding the end-to-end testing journey to help them work out what needs to be done, create test scripts, a testing plan, utilising Jira, manage the unexpected and make sure all the impacts of testing are covered.

Your Test Manager skills will be key to ensure that not only all aspects of testing is completed in line with the wider plan but guide them through governance, control and reporting.

You ll manage stakeholders confidently and diplomatically, gently coaching and always willing to share your knowledge.

Deliverables

• Leads the end-to-end planning and test strategy in line with project timelines
  
• Creates and implements the testing strategy including test scripts and governance
  
• Uses Jira to manage the testing journey and metrics
  
• Execution and detailed analysis of test results
  
• Definition and quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status
  
• Defines the testing entry / exit criteria
  
• Ability to understand end to end transactions and how the data flows through single and multiple systems
  
• Coordinates and plans testing resources
  
• Tracks testing performance, reporting regularly to stakeholders
  
• Works with a range of subject matter experts, 3rd party suppliers and project resources
  
• Adherence to project change request process
  
• Maintain regular communication and ensure regular update meetings are held
  
• Manages and escalates testing risks and issues
  
  

Requirements

• Proven experience of creating and implementing a test strategy for a large organisation
  
• Experience in major system change in range of Financial Services organisations including Data migration, process re-design and MI regulatory reporting
  
• Understanding end to end journey of data transactions
  
• Proven track record of project management in a variety of both technical and business change in small to medium sized organisations
  
• Working in a fast-paced environment
  
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Jira and Confluence
  
• High level of attention to detail
  
• Professional discretion with friendly approach
  
• Excellent conflict management skills and approach
  
• Supreme stakeholder manager with strong influencing and decision-making skills
  
• Strong interpersonal and people management skills, to motivate and lead your test team and manage stakeholders at all levels within the organisation
