The SPD Technician is responsible for maintaining high standards for decontamination assembly inspection and preparing the surgical instruments/equipment for sterilization. The SPD Technician maintains consistency and continuous workflow between the OR Central Processing and the facility as a whole while practicing above average customer service. Performs duties as a SPD Technician independently works proficiently without supervision and is qualified to train new employees. Works in conjunction with the Pharmacy to resupply crash carts with IV fluids and medications. Serves as a resource to all CSSPD customers. Also responsible for cleaning issuing patient care equipment and supplies.

Requirement description :

• 2 years of experience Required

• Skills Checklist current to 1 year pertinent to specialty
• 2 Supervisory References from the past 12 months of employment
• License/Certifications (HSPA (IAHCSMM) Facility will not pend license/certs)

Weekend Requirements : Rotating Weekends/Holidays
On Call Requirements : No Call
