POSITION SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Director of Radiology and the Chief Radiologist the Computed Tomography Technologist is responsible for the care and safety of patients who have CT exams; use of CT equipment; maintaining records about CT; stocking supplies and organizing the schedule.

DEPARTMENT SCOPE OF SERVICE

The Department of Radiology at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital is a consultative service that will provide services in the following categories: diagnostic radiology nuclear medicine ultrasound computed tomography interventional radiography MRI bone density and mammography. The department offers services 24 hours a day seven days a week to inpatients outpatients and emergency room patients of all ages. Whereas xray procedures constitute the majority of our service we also provide related quality control (including protecting patients and staff from harmful radiation) quality assurance monitoring and evaluation marketing and continuing education of staff and patients. Radiology is comprised of licensed technologists certified and licensed nuclear medicine technologists secretarial staff and licensed radiologists.

• Formal AMAapproved school of Radiologic Technology REQUIRED
• CT and xray experience in a hospital setting REQUIRED
