Telecom Technician

The purpose of this position is to maintain the telecommunication system. As multiservice network, Radio System, Light Current Systems in Telephone, Intercom, CCTV, Fire Detection, Public Address, Clock, Passenger Information System (Dynamic Display), Voice Recording.

You will be required to perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot malfunctioning systems, repair or replace parts, and conduct safety tests. The objective is to maintain the Telecom asset and equipment in the operational and best condition deployed along the stations, tunnels and two workshops of Cairo Metro Line3.

Responsibilities/Duties

• Ensuring the maintenance tools & equipment are in good condition.
• Assisting the telecom supervisors in carrying out all level of preventive and corrective maintenance activities and minor modifications in all sites of Cairo Metro Line 3 like stations.
• Overseeing the preventive maintenance of Telecom Equipment.
• Close supervision and leadership of subcontractors to ensure that they are following the PM plan without failures.
• Immediate responding to equipment failures and system malfunctions.
• Performing line corrective maintenance to release failures on equipment in station and back office in the shortest possible time to ensure good operation of the equipment and the system.
• Installing and testing Telecom systems.
• Carrying out safety checks.
• Maintaining stock and ordering supplies.
• Maintaining a clean working area.
• Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Health and Safety Act.
• Ensuring all environmental and safety rules are respected and alert Executive Maintenance of any environmental and safety issue.
• Undertaking any other duties as assigned.
• Accurate reporting to the management regarding the executed tasks and activities.
