Job Description:

Our client, an international mining service provider is seeking a Technology Adviser within the VS (Exploration and Mining Value) who will be responsible for the operational design/needs analysis of our customers for the provision of the company Geoscientific Information Management (GIM) solution including technical support and the delivery of training sessions associated with the use of the solution.

Responsibilities:

• To develop an in-depth knowledge of the company technology product suite to an expert level.
• To maintain expert knowledge of all functionality and new release features.
• To participate in the growth of the internal knowledgebase and contribute to knowledge sharing between key stakeholders.
• To define optimised Geological Database Management solutions to facilitate the customers business requirements.
• To Execute the delivery of a Geological Database Management solution.
• To Project manage on site.
• To Promote and manage deliverables and sign-off.
• To Advise customer on an optimised learning pathway.
• To Deliver structured Learning Pathways and end-user training in either a virtual classroom or face to face delivery format.
• To provide assistance and guidance on how to solve technical or business problems.
• To take ownership of all support enquiries and ensure communication until resolution.
• To escalate critical issues to key stakeholders when necessary.
• To submit, track and communicate the outcomes of bugs and RFEs on behalf of the customer.
• To work closely with key stakeholders, both internal and external at all stages in the solution delivery process.
• To complete all post solution delivery functions including updates to the Client Relationship Management (CRM) system, including future opportunities, debrief to relevant internal stakeholders and post analysis.
• To Assist the Regional Manager with implementation project management activities.
• To provide peer review of technical documents.
• To provide mentorship and guidance to Implementation team members.
• To provide assistance across the business with technical presentations and expertise.
• To ensure Business systems remain up to date at all times.

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• You have substantial experience (3+ years) in either the geoscience or the information technology domain in the Natural Resources sector.
• Degree qualification/s in geoscientific or IT, or equivalent relevant education, training or professional experience
• Knowledge of relational databases and/or structured query language (SQL) would be preferable.
• Degree qualification/s in geoscientific or IT, or equivalent relevant education, training or professional experience.
• Significant IT skills to construct well developed Geological Database Management tools and SQL Objects
