In the role of a Technical Sales Representative (TSR), your primary focus will be on engaging with customers, potential clients, and industry partners within your designated region. Your mission is to drive sales growth by supporting the Outside Sales Team, understanding customer needs, problem-solving, and ultimately promoting and selling our companys products and services. Operating within a well-defined sales process, you will serve as a crucial point of contact for customers, fostering enduring and profitable business relationships. Your Objectives
1. Contribute to expanding our sales opportunity pipeline and play a pivotal role in converting these opportunities into revenue, enabling the Sales Team to meet and surpass its revenue targets.
2. Cultivate strong relationships with customers and technology partners, emphasizing customer loyalty and recurring revenue.
Responsibilities
1. Drive the acquisition of new customers by identifying and reaching out to potential prospects. Your efforts will focus on generating lists of potential customers through partner referrals, online database searches, and other methods tailored to identifying and targeting potential leads in your region.
2. Provide sales support to the Outside Sales Team by managing relationships with key customers. Enhance customer satisfaction by proactively engaging with these accounts through in-person interactions, email, online communication, and telephone conversations.
3. Ensure prompt and efficient responses to customer inquiries related to requests for quotes (RFQ), product inquiries, customer orders, and technical assistance.
4. Collaborate with various internal departments, including Customer Service, Technical Support, Marketing, and Product Management, serving as the liaison between our Outside Sales Team and internal divisions.
5. Participate in on-site customer meetings, conference calls, and webinars. Assist outside sales managers with sales presentations, product demonstrations, or training sessions.
6. Oversee technical sales activities involving our network of technology partners, such as Eagle Eye Networks, Genetec, and Milestone. Actively promote our products and solutions through activities like webinars and product training.
While your daily responsibilities will vary depending on our specific needs, your core duties will include:
- Identifying prospects and attracting new business.
- Conducting sales calls, product demonstrations, and client meetings.
- Offering pre-and post-sales support.
- Processing sales orders.
- Negotiating contracts.
- Renewing existing customer relationships.
- Ensuring sales quotas are met.
- Collaborating with IONODES marketing and sales teams to create technical sales documentation and sales materials, such as YouTube feature videos.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Demonstrable skills in customer-centric sales, with a proven track record of revenue generation.
- Ability to effectively communicate the value of a product or solution to a non-technical audience.
- A proactive, self-starting, can-do attitude.
- Strong teamwork skills.
- Fluent in English as the primary language.
- No specific degree or diploma is required; we evaluate attitude, skills, and track record.
- Proficiency in CRM and productivity platforms, including Salesforce, Office Suite, MS Teams, and GoToMeeting.
Additional Qualifications
- Previous sales experience in a related field, such as IT, networking, security, or surveillance.
- Prior engagement with system integrators, distribution channels, or technology partners in our market, such as Anixter, Genetec, Milestone, Johnson Controls, Schneider Electric, Siemens, ENGIE, and others.
