Technical Manager - Fluid Technology

• The Technical Manager reviews and analyses customer requirements as given to him by the Sales Projects and Manufacturing departments.
  
• Ensures all quotes (where necessary) and all assembled and manufactured jobs are delivered on time.
  
• Plan schedule and direct with the assistance of subordinate supervisors infield commissioning service and repair activities to assure prompt and effective handling of repair requirements.
  
• Confers with other departments to solicit exchange or disseminate information concerning product quality product engineering repair parts ordering and administrative requirements.
  
• In the absence of Quality Control Maintain and direct inhouse calibration of measuring and test equipment and ensure calibration dates are adhered to when sent to subcontractor.
  
• Extensive knowledge of product line including specifications applications purposes capabilities and limitations.
  
• Managerial skills required to plan and administer budgets select and develop supervisory personnel coordinate department activities and to motivate employees to perform at desired level of proficiency.
  
• Maintain and Manage OEM Technology i.e. SelfAdjusting Brake Unit Business.
  
• Continuous Improvement and Development thereof conforming to industry standards.
  

Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric)
  
• B. Tech / B. Sc / B. Eng
  
• ECSA Candidate or ECSA Designation
  
• 5 to 10 Years Experience
  
• Fluid Power Experience is an advantage
