Tech Lead Java

• Understand business requirements from clients and translate them into actionable solutions
  
• Supervise and manage endtoend project development
  
• Help develop and maintain systems while effectively communicating project expectations to team members
  
• Communicate with relevant stakeholders on an ongoing basis
  
• Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths
  
• Guide the team in implementing industry best practices
  
• Design a system from scratch and implement it build enhancements and add feature request using Java and React
  
• Build prototypes of applications and solutions as needed
  
• Work collaboratively in a global setting and learn new technologies
  
• Provide support for implemented solutions including incident problem and defect management and appropriately cross train other members within ISD so they can provide support to the solutions
  
• Extend and maintain existing codebase with focus on quality reusability maintainability an consistency
  
• Independently troubleshoot difficult and complex issues relating to production and other environments
  
• Carry out quality checks and adhere to the agreed service level agreement/turnaround time
  

Requirements

• Willingness to work in UK or US shift
  
• Bachelor or master degree in computer science
  
• Over seven years of industry experience in software development using Java Springboot and SQL
  
• Experience in working with technologies such as Kotlin Kafka MongoDB Prosgres and Azure Cloud
  
• Strong data modelling and database design skills and experience in procedure development and optimisation
  
• Good knowledge of Json/XML/XSLT/XSD
  
• Experience in realtime pricing and electronic trading D2D and D2C
  
• Knowledge of ION
  
• Development experience across project life cycle
  
• Experience and expertise in using Azure cloud services as well as good understanding of Azure authentication authorisation service principals identity and Access Management
  
• Good knowledge of Azure services such as Azure Functions Azure messaging services Azure SQL Server Azure Data Factory SQL Data Warehouse Azure Blob and Azure Storage Explorer
  
• Good knowledge of Azure DevOps and setting up CI/CD pipelines
  
• Experience in Unit Testing with Junit or other similar frameworks
  
• Good knowledge of SOA and Web Service standards (REST JSON SOAP WSDL WSI Basic Profile) and IIS
  
• Strong understanding of OOPS SOLID Principle Dependency Injection and Design Patterns
  
• Code management knowledge (version control code branching and merging continuous integration and delivery build and deployment strategies testing life cycle etc.)
  
• Solid knowledge of investment banking services and business processes
  
• Experience in managing stakeholder expectations (client and project teams) and generating relevant reports
  
• Excellent project tracking and monitoring skills
  
• Good decisionmaking and problemsolving skills
  
• Adaptability flexibility and ability to prioritise and deliver highquality tasks and manage tight schedules
  
• Good understanding of all knowledge areas in software development including requirement gathering designing development testing maintenance and quality control
  
• Experience in Agile methodology and knowledge of financial services/asset management industry (preferred)
  
• Ability to independently manage client communication every day especially over calls
