New Mexico Site Safety and Health Officer
Burgos Group is seeking a Safety Manager for a Federal Government Project located in NM. Overnight Travel Required up to 50% of time, Travel expenses will be Site Safety Manager must have five (5) years of continuous general industry safety experience in supervising/managing general Must be able to pass a Federal background check.
The Safety Manager must be familiar with safety and occupational health principles, practices, procedures and standards applicable to agency instructions, directives and operation manuals, OSHA, federal safety and occupational health standards, ANSI, NFPA and other consensus Must be able to plan, organize, direct, operate, inspect and/or evaluate a safety and occupational health program for a construction safety The Safety Manager must be able to perform mishap investigations, prepare reports of circumstances, maintain records and evaluate mishap data for trends and patterns and be able to communicate safety requirements to all levels of personnel to meet program goals and objectives, implement procedures and practices, and assist supervisors and employees in complying with safety and health The Safety Manager will direct all phases of the safety program from inception through
Key Activities and Position Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the Burgos Group Safety Program is implemented and effective;
- Develop and update Site Specific Safety Program policies and procedures;
- Maintain and report accurate records regarding the safety program;
- Conduct safety and team training;
- Purchase and distribute safety equipment and supplies;
- Assist in organizing and implementing teams;
- Provide onsite project safety support (, training, inspections, supplies, compliance review, ;
- Maintain appropriate certifications and awareness of developing technology;
- Provide complete Injury Management from initial doctor visit to reporting and employee follow-up;
- Ensuring required documentation is complete, current and properly filed;
- Ensuring proactive customer service and mitigation of complaints;
- Enforcing contract safety standards;
- Proactively identify issues that could lead to problems and facilitate solutions;
- Administer client-specific safety
Qualifications:
- Must have an instructor-signed OSHA 30-hour training
- ANSI or NCCA Certification a
- Experience on federal construction projects
