We are working with a further education college based in Birmingham the organisation is home to thousands of bright and enthusiastic students and many talented and experienced staff. They are passionate about providing the qualifications and training that local employers and communities need. Their goal is to prepare all their students for the world of work both now and in years to come.

They are looking to appoint a Schools Engagement Officer to join our team to help support the Schools Engagement Team.


Your role will involve:


  • Working with students to identify their career aspirations.
  • Establishing and nurturing strong connections with nearby feeder schools.
  • Actively participating in events like Assemblies Parents Evenings Careers Days and Practice Interviews.
  • Advocating for the curriculum by extending invitations to local schools for collaborative events at the College Campuses fostering opportunities for student engagement and growth.
  • Conducting outreach efforts to identify and address the needs and concerns of diverse student populations advocating for their interests and promoting inclusivity.
  • Developing and implementing initiatives to promote student health and wellbeing.



Requirements

  • Proven experience working in student affairs student services or a related field within an educational setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse student populations.
  • Ability to plan and coordinate student programs and events.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff and students to achieve common goals.
  • Commitment to promoting diversity equity and inclusion in all aspects of the student experience.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.


Benefits

Basic salary of up to 26000 depending on experience
