Store Manager

Principal Responsibilities:

• Ensure robust internal control structure is in place in accordance with SOX, GAAP and Goodyear policies. Ensure that any identified control and internal gaps are remediated on a timely basis. Audit the process controls on a regular basis while teaching the management and plant team the importance of adherence of internal controls and corrective solutions.
  
• Responsible for supporting production cost information related to material cost information, purchase price variance, inventory variances, material manufacturing variances.
  
• Assist, manage/oversee audit activities with internal and external Auditors.
  
• Responsible for accounting for all fixed assets activities in plant including reviewing capital requests, timely capitalization of projects, monitoring CWIP monthly, monitoring machinery and equipment for potential idle assets, completing periodic physical asset count, all in accordance with Goodyear policies.
  
• Assist in monthly/quarterly financial reporting, special analyses related to month end close, annual financial statement close procedures, account reconciliations, any judgmental reserve requirements.
  
• Have the ability to implement process change that aligns with business and individual objectives while being a team player working with both corporate requirements and plant operating requirements to produce a win-win atmosphere.
  
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to finance processes and systems.
  
• Willing to get involved in the manufacturing process to relate to and understand the impact to the financial control procedures.
  
• Assist/lead any special projects/assignments as applicable to the position.
  

Profil

• Thorough understanding of GAAP, accounting for complex transactions & internal controls in compliance to SOX
  
• A minimum of 5 years of accounting, auditing, and controlling experience in a manufacturing environment.
  
• Cost accounting experience.
  
• Consulting skill, ability to draw on ideas of key team members and convert them into meaningful strategies and plans.
  
• Demonstrated knowledge of computer systems such as: Microsoft Office Products, Hyperion Essbase, SAP
  
• Must be Bilingual French/English both Verbal & Written
  

• CPA/CGA designation is desired.
  
• MBA or advanced degree is desirable
