Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to understand project requirements
• Perform various welding techniques such as Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding Shielded Metal Arc Welding and other specialized methods
• Operate and maintain welding equipment and machinery
• Conduct quality inspections on welded components to ensure adherence to specifications
• Collaborate with the engineering team to identify and resolve any weldingrelated issues
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure working environment
• Assist in the development of welding procedures and protocols
• Ensure proper storage and handling of welding materials and equipment
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of welding processes and techniques
• Keep accurate records of welding activities and completed projects

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification
• Completion of a certified welding program
• American Welding Society (AWS) certification as a Special Class Welder
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a welder in a similar industrial setting
• Proficient in blueprint reading and interpretation
• Expertise in various welding techniques including MIG welding and Shielded Metal Arc Welding
• Strong understanding of metallurgy and metal properties
• Ability to operate and maintain welding equipment and machinery
• Excellent attention to detail and qualityfocused mindset
• Good physical condition and strength to handle welding tasks
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols
• Effective communication and problemsolving skills
• Ability to work in various environmental conditions including confined spaces and heights
• Willingness to undergo additional training and certifications as required
