Software Automation Test Engineer

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Experience in C# automation Visual Studio Selenium
• Framework development experience
• Experience with Agile testing methodologies.
• Experience in Jenkins
• Sound knowledge about manual testing.
• Write and execute automated test scripts to verify acceptance criteria
• Experience with software development tools such as requirement tracking (Jira Rally) defect tracking (Jira) source control (GitHub) and automation (Jenkins)
• Experience and knowledge of the different types of software testing (Unit Smoke Regression Acceptance etc.)
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to gather test requirements and design automated test strategies.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts to validate software functionality and performance.
• Execute and analyze automated test results identify and report software defects.
• Participate in test planning estimation and risk assessment activities.
• Provide input to improve software design based on testability and maintainability.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the test automation framework and processes.
• Collaborate with developers to resolve technical issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Stay updated with industry best practices and technologies in test automation.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality aspects.
• Participate in the release process and support production deployments.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in software test automation and scripting using tools such as Selenium Appium or similar.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies tools and processes.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex software requirements and design documents.
• Experience in test planning test case design and test execution.
• Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
• Understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) principles.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a crossfunctional team environment.
• Ability to work effectively in an agile development environment.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN.
• Knowledge of software quality assurance best practices and techniques.
• Familiarity with performance and security testing concepts is a plus.
• Certifications in software testing or automation is a plus.
• Experience with software development in languages like Java Python or C# is a plus.
• Experience with mobile application testing is a plus.
