Summary


The Service Planner will collaborate closely with operations, engineering, and project managers to establish and uphold the operations schedule. This role entails coordinating with various departments to effectively communicate comprehensive schedule details and guarantee the timely and precise incorporation of data into the master schedule.


Responsibilities include:


  • Collaborate with key stakeholders in operations, engineering, and project management to establish and maintain a comprehensive operations plan, engineering plan, and an integrated master schedule specific to the project.
  • Monitor the daily services schedule, reconciling actual production against the established schedule and proactively resolving any schedule discrepancies.
  • Partner with operations coordinators to set priorities, aligning the plan with real-time feedback from the shop floor on production progress and ensuring harmony with the project schedule.
  • Evaluate schedule recommendations and manufacturing lead time calculations, promptly flagging any deviations or discrepancies between standard and demonstrated capacities to the services operations department.
  • Provide insights to project management and operations management regarding the financial implications of schedule modifications.
  • Establish and maintain a progress measurement system to track shop projects accurately.
  • Produce regular monthly and weekly reports, both for internal and client utilization.
  • Coordinate release of components on the BOM with S/R department, ensuring all manufactured components for each assembly are accounted for and ready to be picked.
  • Address issues with project execution: Safety, Effectiveness, Timeliness, Error-free Performance, and Traceability.
  • Coordinate work scope of project throughout the beginning of manufacturing and finalizing with completed product.
  • Ensure the Released Production Orders page is maintained and up to date.
  • Assist with documentation of serial numbers and designated serial numbers on each component/assembly.
  • Build routings for operational router steps for all new production orders.
  • Compile weekly production order reports for project teams and management.
  • Respond quickly to priority jobs and assist with warehouse with expediting parts to shop.
  • Assist project controllers with warehouse picks to ensure assemblies are released on time.
  • Gather project department feedback on components and expected arrival dates.
  • Assist operations coordinators with general workload & part requirements.
  • Work with Services to identify performance gaps and delays that could be eliminated to save time and costs.
  • Identify process bottlenecks & assist with implementing solutions.
  • Fulfill any other responsibilities as assigned.



Qualifications


  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a scheduling capacity, encompassing the management of multi-project schedules.
  • At least 2 years of experience in equipment manufacturing within the context of the oil and gas sector.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project, including version 2013, as well as a strong familiarity with MS Excel.
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft PowerPoint and Word, supporting effective communication and documentation tasks.


Qualifications: Education: Engineering Degree from an EAC/ABET accredited program. E.I.T. Certification or passed FE exam preferred Experience and Skills: o Minimum of 5 years experience in engineering design and approval processes o Minimum of 2 years experience in subsea equipment design o Proficient in SolidWorks and ANSYS modeling software o Proficient with Microsoft Office Systems (Word, Excel, MS Project) Knowledgeable in AutoCAD 2D and Mathcad software Personal Attributes: Strong leadership and organizational skills Good communication & presentation skills, both written and oral Ability to adapt to change, when required due to the rapid response nature of business Work autonomously as well as under direction Handle multiple projects and deadlines with changing priorities
