Senior MySQL Database Administrator
Position: Senior MySQL Database Administrator
Overall Experience:
10 years of experience Relevant 6 years exp
Budget: 28 LPA
Location: Hybrid Borivali (E) Mumbai (23 days per week onsite remainder remote)
Were in search of a seasoned and enthusiastic Senior MySQL Database Administrator to join our expanding team in Mumbai! As a pivotal member of our IT department youll play a vital role in ensuring the performance security and availability of our critical MySQL databases.
This position offers a hybrid work model with 23 days inoffice and the remainder from home.
What were looking for
- Minimum 6 years in Senior MySQL DBA or similar role.
- Proficient in designing implementing and managing complex MySQL databases.
- Deep understanding of MySQL query optimization and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with database security practices and access control.
- Experience with database automation scripting (Python shell).
- Skilled in disaster recovery planning for MySQL.
- Strong communication collaboration and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Passion for continuous learning and advancement in MySQL technology.
Responsibilities:
- Design implement and manage intricate MySQL database structures.
- Configure MySQL instances in clustered and nonclustered environments.
- Optimize database performance via query tuning indexing and resource management.
- Establish and maintain a robust disaster recovery plan for MySQL databases.
- Conduct regular backups and recoveries to ensure data integrity and minimize downtime.
- Automate routine tasks using Python or shell scripting.
- Monitor database health and performance using industrystandard tools.
- Enforce strict security protocols to prevent unauthorized access and breaches.
- Stay updated on MySQL trends and technologies.
- Document database design configuration and procedures.
