The Purpose of the Position:

The Machine Builder is responsible for with moderate supervision building quality products and systems focused on meeting time lines and customer expectations in a safe and timely manner.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop build process/sequence from drawings and Bill of Materials

Fit and assemble components per drawings

Perform precise adjustments of mechanical assemblies per specifications

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues

Supports a culture of Safety First! and ensures Safe work practices are adhered to

Support a continuous improvement culture throughout the department to simplify the processes, and continuous improvement of deliverables to internal and external customers.

Support Lean practices and concepts and ISO.

Support the continuous improvement of G del, Inc. by identifying opportunities pertaining to the on-time delivery and quality/accuracy of work

Support quality assurance efforts

Adhere to all policies and procedures

Adhere to all safety policies, procedures and safe work practices

Support Lean practices and concepts

Support ISO requirements

Other duties as assigned


Required Education, Training & Experience

  • High School Diploma and currently in a program working towards an Associate s Degree (Mechatronics, Engineering Technician or manufacturing related program)
  • 5+ years experience with mechanical aptitude
  • Blue print reading
  • Knowledge of assembly techniques
  • Organizational, problem solving, and decision making skills
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and listening skills.
  • Professional and positive approach, self-motivated, strong relationship building skills and team player.

Preferred Education, Training & Experience:

Associates Degree from an accredited College or equivalent combination of experience and training

Knowledge of Engineering Operations is a plus.

Strong, effective communicator

Highly developed teamwork skills
