Position Overview: We are looking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer proficient in designing implementing and managing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines utilizing Octopus Deploy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud technologies automation and software development methodologies.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Design develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Octopus Deploy for cloudbased applications.
- Collaborate with development operations and testing teams to ensure efficient and reliable deployment processes.
- Implement automation scripts and tools to streamline deployment workflows and improve overall efficiency.
- Monitor and optimize CI/CD pipelines for performance reliability and scalability.
- Troubleshoot deployment issues and provide timely resolution to minimize downtime.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices related to CI/CD cloud technologies and automation tools.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members on CI/CD practices and Octopus Deploy usage.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings and contribute to sprint planning retrospectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in computer science Engineering or related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer with expertise in designing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Indepth knowledge of Octopus Deploy or similar CI/CD tools such as Jenkins GitLab CI/CD or Azure DevOps.
- Strong scripting skills in languages like PowerShell Python or Bash for automation tasks.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker Kubernetes) and infrastructureascode (Terraform CloudFormation).
- Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in production environments.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Azure DevOps Engineer Expert) are a plus.
