Responsibilities
Strategy, Planning and Management
- Act as Controller and strategic business advisor to senior executive leadership
- Assess and evaluate the financial performance of the organization with regard to long-term operational goals, budgets and
- Provide insight and recommendations to both short-term and long-term growth plan of
- Communicate, engage and interact with the Executive Leadership
- Create and establish yearly financial objectives that align with the company s plan for growth and
- Implement policies, procedures and processes as deemed appropriate by senior leadership
Financial Analysis, Budgeting and Forecasting
- Prepare and present monthly financial budgeting reports including monthly profit and loss, forecast budget and cash
- Review and analyze monthly financial results and provide
- Perform financial planning and analysis
Accounting, General Ledger, Administration and Operations
- Supervise the accounting department
- Review and ensure application of appropriate internal control and financial
- Prepare and communicate weekly, monthly and annual financial
- Preparation and timely filing of all local, state and federal tax
- Work with Human Resources to ensure appropriate legal
- Review all month-end closing activities including general ledger accounts, balance sheet accounts and overhead cost
- Hire, develop and manage accounting staff
- Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors; Manage preparation and support of all external
Financial Relations and Policies
- Represent company to banks, financial partners, institutions, investors, or public auditors and
- Remain current on audit best practices as well as state, federal and local laws regarding company
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- CPA preferred
- Construction Accounting preferred
- Familiarity with Sage Contractor 100 a plus
- 5 years minimum experience in Accounting or Finance
- Outstanding communication and presentation
- Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence and executive presence ability to motivate
- Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills
