Senior Database Administrator

WHAT MAKES YOUR JOB EXCITING

• Your mission is to ensure that our databases run smoothly and efficiently, while communicating and supporting a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users. You will work with MSSQL, MySQL and ORACLE databases, On-Premise and within Public Clouds.
• Exposure to the entire lifecycle of Database environments. Analysis, Conception, Configuration, Architecture and Operations.
• Continuous optimization of database performance and proactive monitoring
• Creation and implementation of database backup and disaster/recovery concepts
• Solution Implementation and supporting our customers during migration and later during operations.
• Conducting comprehensive analyses of existing environments to identify vulnerabilities, uncover performance bottlenecks, and highlight optimization potential.
• Developing customized solutions for automating server processes to maximize efficiency and scalability.
• Creating technical concepts, roadmaps, and architecture designs for our Services

YOUR EXPERIENCE & APPROACH

• Successfully completed university studies (Bachelor's degree) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or an equivalent vocational qualification.
• 4+ years of proven previous experience as a Database Administrator for MSSQL or Oracle databases.
• Experience with set up, installation, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of databases.
• Experience with tuning of database parameters to ensure optimal performance.
• Experience optimizing data models and queries.
• Experience with HA Solutions
• Good knowledge of Linux, Windows and Docker
• Experience with configuration management solution Ansible.
• Strong experience in PowerShell
• Strong consulting and communication skills at all levels
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Very good command of English written and spoken - German language skills a definitive plus.
• Strong customer orientation and the ability to perform successfully in a demanding environment.
• Ability to work independently and results-oriented
