Senior Accountant

We are looking to hire a Senior Accountant for a leading Offshore Staffing Solutions provider in Sri Lanka.

This is a key fulltime role supporting the Companys CFO in the UK in providing exceptional accounting services to their business.

The role needs strong communication skills and will have regular and independent communication with management peers in finance and other business functions.

Requirements:

• A formal accounting qualification
• Group accounting experience and familiarity with UK GAAP will be beneficial
• Good Excel Word & Powerpoint skills are required
• At least 2 years of general accounting experience is preferred for this position
• Experience in a BPO is an advantage
• Excellent English language skills
• Familiarity with leading accounting software (Xero Sage Quick Books etc.) is expected
• Must be willing to work on the UK shift

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Bookkeeping
• Payroll processing
• Verifying financial statements ledgers and accounts and making corrections where appropriate
• Financial Reporting
• Budgeting and Forecasting
• General financial analysis
• Reconciliation of bank and balance sheet accounts
• Systems development & documentation
• Providing accounting services to all areas of the business as necessary;
