This role is part of SIRT team Security Intelligence Response Team. They handle Intrusion Detection and Incident Response for all Capital Group global offices. There are 2 teams; Watch and monitoring team and Engineering Solutions team. This role is part of the engineering solutions team and will build engineering solutions for the Watch and monitoring team.

Need very strong Python scripting (data mining and analyzing logs using Python) AWS and CI/CD skills.

Prefer local to San Antonio TX or Irvine CA

Looking for a Senior Security Engineer with expertise in cyber security analysis and execution of comprehensive security initiatives.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Security or a related field
• Over 8 years of IT experience is required.
• Minimum 5 years of handson experience in a Cyber Security role
• Strong background working with security technologies: firewalls intrusion detection antivirus vulnerability scanning and remediation security log and event management network traffic analysis etc.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python is essential.
• Experience in AWS is essential.
• Experience in data mining and analyzing logs using Python is required.
• Technical knowledge of common information security tools and systems: Firewall/VPN endpoint protection etc.
• Handson experience configuring multiple operating systems databases security platforms and system integrations.
• Excellent communication and problemsolving skills with the ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
• Security certifications (CISSP GIAC MCSE RHCE CCNP CCSP) is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as information security subject matter expert and collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate security best practices into development and operational processes.
• Perform security risk assessments and lead remediation efforts.
• Create solutions for security issues.
• Analyze audit findings and make recommendations to lower risk to acceptable levels.
• Ensure that security changes comply with company change management policies and procedures.
• Automate security processes and tasks to achieve efficiency.
• Implement and manage security measures to protect systems networks and data.
