Job Description

The Sales Officer will be responsible for promoting and selling a range of agricultural products fostering strong relationships with farmers and achieving sales targets. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of agriculture excellent communication skills and a proven track record in sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales and Business Development:

    • Promote and sell a variety of agriculture products to farmers.
    • Identify new business opportunities and potential customers in the agricultural sector.
    • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  2. Customer Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential farmers.
    • Provide personalized product recommendations based on farmers needs and preferences.
    • Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  3. Product Knowledge:

    • Stay informed about the latest agricultural products and technologies.
    • Educate farmers on the features and benefits of our products.
    • Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for farmers.
  4. Market Research:

    • Monitor market trends and competitor activities in the agriculture sector.
    • Gather feedback from farmers to contribute to product improvement and development.
  5. Sales Reporting:

    • Prepare and submit regular sales reports including sales forecasts market trends and customer feedback.
    • Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and growth.


Requirements

1. Bachelors degree in Agriculture Agribusiness Business Administration or a related field.
2. Proven experience in agricultural product sales.
3. Strong understanding of agricultural practices and the needs of farmers.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Goaloriented with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
7. Proficient in MS Office and CRM software.
