Our client in an insights lead BTL marketing agency who pride themselves on creating world class shopping experiences for world class brands. They have an amazing opportunity for a seasoned Sales Manager to join their growing team based at their office in Johannesburg. You will be working with great clients some of the worlds leading brands and a phenomenal team. A successful candidate must come with a proven track record of driving their team to achieve sales targets and build lasting relationships.You must understand complex selling in the B2B environment and will be agile in assisting your team in navigating the many obstacles that could stall a deal and find solutions around that.

Our client is looking for a selfmotivated driven and tenacious individual who can lead strong and direct their team to achieve business outcomes and targets. If you re competitive by nature ready for a challenge and have an unquenchable desire to achievementor and lead your team to success then this role is just for you!

Your responsibilities would include but are not limited to the below:
  • Lead the demand side of the business.
  • Craft a cohesive plan and implement performance metrics to deliver on an existing sales strategy.
  • Strategically lead grow and optimise the strengths of your team.
  • Be accountable for achieving the overall organisational performance metrics/sales targets.
  • Coach your team through crucial client conversations in order to deliver the best outcome for both clients and the business.
  • Drive your team in the areas of new business development and client retention.
  • Ability to interpret data into management information to inform decisionmaking.
  • Management reporting to the Executive (board level).
  • Drive integrated ways of working throughout the business.
  • Play a key role in influencing the organisation to deliver on the business strategy


Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years Sales Management experience preferably within B2B.
  • Proven track record in successfully leading a sales team and achieving performance metrics/sales targets.
  • Experience in sales strategy sales planning building a sales funnel and delivering the desired outcomes.
  • Experience in Top to Top client engagement and being capable and comfortable engaging with C Suite Executives.
  • Experience in creating and presenting Management Reports at Executive level.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring a sales team.
  • Minimum qualification of a degree in BBusSc BCom Marketing or similar.
  • Postgraduate degree would be advantageous.

  • Must be commercially astute be fully conversant in the P&L and have a good general understanding of financials.
  • Must be willing to have tough conversations and possess strong levels of emotional intelligence when engaging with clients.
  • Must have high levels of resilience demonstrate tenacity and be able to persevere through significant challenges in order to reach goals.
  • Must have great communication and presentation skills.


Benefits

Salary: R1mil R1.1mil annual (TCTC)
Excludes incentives/ Commission
